1008 vogue page by page

this dior ad looks as tho it was inspired by escada ads.

hasn't hilfiger been using this ad campaign for the last six seasons? it feels like it.

beautiful fabric. with the bag there, the fabric isn't overwhelming. abundance of texture, but just the right amount.

again, great texture. belt working against the dress. i am a believer in contrast/contradictions, but this belt is too harsh. i think it needs to be a beautiful object first in order to have a chance against this dress but fails to function as a significant element. love color and weight of fabric perfect.

inside out vertical seam awesome. without it, just another very plain dress with too much ruffle in neck area, but with the inside out seam, it brings out the "significance" of the ruffles.

the grey/weird blueish tights are ugly to begin with. can't think of shoes it would look good with. maybe canvas chucks? yea, that would be cute. but with shoes that are pretty difficult to pull off to begin with, the ugly tights make it even rough-er. perhaps something a bit more plain-er for the xxxxx cross shoes? purple knee highs is doing nothing for the brown boots back there. brighter color? i.e. chartruse, baby blue, hot pink, or something with polka dots would have done wonders.

again, mistaken identity. i thought this was a prada ad. i totally understand when bebe or guess or even hilfiger tries to "borrow" other brand's ad identity... but when big names get mistaken for another brand, that's not right.. is it?

everything so good in this photo. right amount of interesting "texture" in the background. makes me look at exactly what they want me to look at : neck, length of coat, tailoring. even the too skinny model i find interesting.

i love seeing fashion designers' sketches. as exciting as seeing dega's or lautrec's sketches/pastels/prints. galliano is toooo gooooood!

coach's two page/two contrast image ads interesting. this one is good, next one not so good.

the lady's skin is forcing me to look at the uneven texture of the patent leather. patent leather is supposed to lure with its flawless shiny surface. nothing against aging or wrinkles. just doing think this is a good pairing.

the swirly product visible through the clear casing makes me want this. i didn't even bother to see if it was a lotion or foundation, just want it. imagining how the swirl will change as i use it is making me look at the product. bought a product similar to this concept a while ago and i remember not really needing that product, just enjoyed watching the swirl in the inside get mixed and change as i used it.

wear more or wear less. right now stuck between neither worlds. i would say less. she needs to show more skin. maybe loose the shoes. the guys need to not be in pants. if it is a fur ad, sell it with sex.

great fendi ad. right amount of negative space vs. positive space. depth and perspective artsy.

love the red long sleeve shirt. size of graphic unusual and interesting. repeat using color bands on the sleeve isn't too much. too easy to be too much.

great dress. the colors that came together great. the vertical pieces stitched down only in the middle creating surface texture.

seeing the logo fall out of the frame just makes me want to see it even bigger. i think it would force me to see parts of the logo and not just as a whole. i.e. the crest on top, the four knots text below PRADA.

this is 125% larger logo...neeko thinks.

still don't know what to think of their ad concept. object placed in the middle with another image of the model within it. don't hate. neeko thinks...

why isn't her left hand(assuming there is a fat ring on her finger) on his chest/shoulder? her earring isn't able to draw my attention and the floating ring on the bottom right can be further emphasized by showing her hand/finger above it.
